My New Year Resolutions...

Time really flies...here goes 2007 and comes 2008...hai..old le..old le...

2007 has been quite a tediuos year for mi. Of course, there will definately be ups and downs always..but seems like my "downs" is more than my "ups" last year. Hopefully, things will get better in the new 2008! =)

k...here comes my 2008 resolutions-

1) To change my perceptions and try to see things from a different angle, i.e be more optimistic.
Found a very good book (in chinese) while browsing through the book booth one day. Reading it now and hopefully, I will learnt something from it. =)

2) Practise hard on my vocal, as well as keyboard. And hopefully, will be able to perform together with the others again!(vocal). And for keyboard, hopefully can pass the test and move on to next level smoothly!! hahaha..

3) Get my back and neck problem cured and hopefully, once and for all!!

4) Start my exercise routine again!!(Say is always easier than done,but I'll try!). Really getting fatter...and fatter liao!!

That's all I can think of at the moment...got to go back to work liao...BYE!! =D

New Year --> New Look --> New hairstyle!!

After keeping my hair long for so many years...finally decided to give my neck a break. Now, my head feel so much lighter!! hahaha...went to cut short my hair yesterday.

Actually have been hesitating for quite sometime, not becoz I cannot bear to cut, just afraid I wun look nice in short hair. But still gave it a try...result-- Still acceptable to mi la..hee..but need to spend more time to style it since got some curly ends here and there..aiyo....

So busy these few weeks. Now, even worst. last week went for body massage. My neck and back pain have been following mi like....almost 10 years? But I tot it's nothing big deal, so just kept ignoring it. But it's getting worst these few years..so finally decided to seek help.

Went to this shop recommended by YX for a try...soooooo painful, esp when she pressed on my "already-painful" neck. The pain continued for 2 days!! But after tat, felt so much relax and the pain was much reduced...

Have to go back every week coz she say my problem was very seriuos. After 7 sessions, maybe got to see a chinese physician to adjust my backbone coz it's a bit slanted, which can be the root cause of those pains...hai...so much trouble...

No choice............cannot save these kind of $$$$$....*sigh*

Then, I realised I have yet to do so many things!! Haven tidy my wardrobe...haven wash my new year clothes...haven pack my desk...*HELP*

On top of tat, our keyboard lesson is getting tougher and tougher..everytime when it comes to theory, I only managed to catch 30% of it coz my math is not good..esp fractions!! *Faint* Luckily no written test on theory..if not, SURE FAIL!! Hahaha...

Flu...again....

Here is comes again..my "best" friend-FLU...*sigh* So drowsy after taking the flu tablets...

Din have the time to go to my favourite place since I came back from holiday...sometimes so tired after work..need to tidy up my house for the coming new year...and stuff like tat. Hai..but think will probably go down next thur. And definately going down on the 28th! Hahaha...

My mind really can't concentrate now...got to go for lesson liao..dunno how to sing with a blocked nose and a drowsy mind like this..wish mi good luck ba. =) *SNEEZE*

Really can't think of a title...

Have been busying updating my blog on my trip for the past few entries...now finally, managed to blog about the things tat took place for the past few days....



Last week, received a call from Kevin. I was in office at tat time when I received this bad news...MC King has passed away. Was sooo shocked and can't believe my ears tat moment. Even tot tat he was joking...but it was not annouced on the media at tat time. My mind totally went blank...although have only met up with MC only 2 times, but have been watching him on tv since I was young.



The news only reported this few hours later...and I finally cant control and break down...i know chikenmama is devastated..



Why did he left so suddenly? Life is really unpredictable...And what upset mi most was, during his lifetime, he wasn't tat famous actually, although he did put in lots of effort. But he became the topic of the town overnight.. only after his departure...y? *sigh*



I din wan to visit his blog these few days...coz I cant control my tears whenever I saw his blog. This moment he is happily blogging about his resolution for 2008...next moment...he's gone...='''''(



Some of my friends asked mi y im so sad about this? My ans......I dunno...just felt sad. But actually, is becoz his departure that reminded mi of many unpleasant incident...(dun wish to go on)...



So, another lesson learnt...have to live our life to the fullest everyday coz u wun know wat will happen next...which im still trying to do very hard.



And worst...I've been facing some family problems for the past few days. Which is beyond my control. The only thing tat I can do is to tolerate..and tolerate...and still, tolerate. Everynight, I could only cry till i fall asleep. But who will knows about all these...nobody...Im trying very hard to put everything aside and try to be happy everyday...but circumstances dun allow mi to do so...



At this moment while im typing this entry, I'm listening to a song by Ah Mei...hoping to feel better by diverting my attention to songs and music. But sometimes...sad songs made mi think even more...

Showcase cum Xmas/ New Year party 2007

Just 2 days after our back home in Spore is our showcase & Xmas cum new year celebration. Actually I planned to sing the song by Ah Mei- "Ni3 Shi4 Ai4 Wo3 De", but becoz really no time to prepare, so end up singing "Ai4 Shi4 Ni3 Yan2 Li3 De Yi4 Shou3 Qin3 Ge1" by Guo mei mei (again)..=p



Mi and Shu ling were in charge of registration and lucky draw for the day. I reached around 10.30am plus..Miss Shu ling overslept and reached around 11am.Hahaha..



Besides lucky draw, we also got a gift exchange program for tat day. I brought a meiji chocolate mirror from Taipei. Still wondering who got my gift. Hee..as for mi, I got a very cute photo frame...dunno from who also. =p Above are YX and my classmates...=D



XY sang the song I liked very much tat day- Fish Leong's "Chong2 Bai4"!!!! *Yeah* And guess wat..our homework for next month (Feb) is exactly this song!!! WOW!!! *HAPPY*

I really like her voice man!! *Cheeze*

Had fun tat day! With lots of nice performances...nice gifts...and most importantly...NICE FOOD!! Hahahaha...event ended around 5pm+ . Went home to continue unpack my luggage after tat...*sigh*

Taipei-Day 1 (19.12.2007)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! It's my 1st entry in the year 2008. I'm going to share my experience of my trip in Taipei and Hongkong with u all in these few entries...with LOTS of photos! =D Took mi 2 days to organise,upload and narrate them! But it's all worth it...can serve as a memory if i lose my memory one day, or...if i left this world one day..life is unpredictable u see...=)


Ok, shall start off now! Ready?!

Woke up at 3.30am on 19 Dec 2007 to get ready for the trip. Im supposed to wake up at 3am, but over slept! End up rushing doing some last min packing! Coz we r supposed to meet at 6am at airport.

Boarded the plane at 7.30am plus. Our 1st stop is Taipei, but got to transit in HK 1st. Everyone is so excited about the trip..=D I think im d most excited one coz i have never been to these 2 countries before! Hahaha...

After 4 hrs of flight, reached HK around noon time. The above pic was taken at HK airport transit launched. It was soooo cold in there! Luckily got my long john ready in my bag! Almost frozen...=X

While waiting for the gate to open, yx already made her 1st purchase in HK! A chinese story book! So fast..haha..Angela also bought the same book. HK airport is quite nice. Even nicer than Spore...big space, very bright! I like it!

After another 1 hour plus of flight from HK....finally arrival in Taipei. It was raining then. But the temperature is not that cold, still ok. After checking in the hotel (Flower Hotel), we had a quick lunch nearby hotel before heading towards Ximending..which is only walking distance from our hotel!! The above was taken from my room in Flower Hotel.

My 1st reaction upon reaching there is WOW!! Is a place that i always heard seen tv and wanted to go soooo much..and right at that moment..I'm actually in there! So happy!! =D

The place was filled with youngsters but luckily, still not very crowed. Maybe becoz it's not weekends. Really nice streets selling cute stuff and nice food!!

Saw the above famous oyster mee sua in Ximending along the way. Wanted to try but too long queue!! Smells nice!!

We settled our 1st dinner in Taipei at a "Min Ge Can Ting" in Ximending. According to yx, there is only 2 singers per night. 1 person in charge of 1 slot. Wow..tat is really tedious for the singers! The 1st slot was a guy, 2nd slot was a gal. Quite powerful singers! But singing a little bit old fashion.=p

I ordered a grilled fish set dinner...not knowing tat the fish contained bones!!! *Faint* Had a hard time shorting out the bones and the meat. Hai...

But overall...it's a great experience to see how Taipei's Min Ge Can Ting is like...*Happy*

After dinner, we shop around Ximending a while and bought some stuff in 7-eleven (See above). Loved their 7-eleven coz they got a wide variety of dessert and drinks, unlike spore. Thats all for the day...Slept quite early tat night coz very tired!!

Taipei-Day 2 (20.12.2007)

Woke up around 8am plus the next day. After having breakfast in hotel, it's time to begin our trip for the day! *Yeah*

The above was taken in Taipei MRT. We r heading towards Dan Shui for the day. From left...Yingying, Shihua, Kim (my keyboard lao shi) and Shu ling. Do they looked like a band group? Hahaha...

On my left is Angela. At first, she's quite fierce looking to mi. But after knowing her, felt tat she is friendly actually. Hahaha..

Mi and Yingying. I 1st met her in aqh. She has a stern look on stage, especially when she is playing the keyboard. But actually...she is a very funny and friendly gal! She's indeed, our Kai 1 Xin1 Guo3! =D

Mi and Shu ling. This gal, 1st time i saw her was in class. She is very quiet at that time. But now that i know her...she can be crazy at times too! =p

Mi and Kim. This guy...also gave mi tat cool and stern feeling the 1st time i saw him. But now...know tat he is a crazy guy too! *ops* =p

Mi and Shihua. Saw him at Tao few months ago. Always felt tat he got a Taiwanese accent...dunno y..

I dun think i need to introduce my friend above...finally she got a chance to travel with mama again!! =D

See...told u they r funny liao right? They even tot of such action to pose...hahaha..last but not least, yu xuan (middle)-my vocal lao shi. =D

I really loved Taipei's sceneries. In Spore, what we saw when we r in MRT are just HDB flats...shopping malls..roads..cars..*boring* This is what I saw in Taipei's MRT!! Soooo nice man!! Really brightened up my day!

Oh ya...Xmas is just a few days away then...

The feeling was great in Dan Shui, with cool wind blowing...clear blue sky...bright sunlight without the humidity...friendly people..most importantly...great friends around!!

Look at the sky, the sea and the hills...no words can describle the feelings...simply wonderful!

One word...beautiful.....

Saw this tall ice-cream and bought one. Noticed the ice-cream's colour and our clothing's colour? hahaha...coincident la..

Went into one of the 7-eleven stalls (again) in Dan Shui and managed to take a pic of their drinks...for your info..this is only part of what the stall has!! *Yummy*

Noticed their rubbish bins is seperated into 2 types..and citizens there really did took the effort to throw their rubbish into these bins accordingly. Guess will this work in Spore? I dun think so..

Saw this bridge far...far...away. Only managed to zoom to this max..too bad!

Surprised to see this parrot in one of the shops. Asked yx to help ask take a pic..and know wat happened? I got to close to it and the parrot bite my thumb!!! *ouch* It was not tat painful...just shocked!!! The above was the moment the parrot bite my thumb..=(

Yy bought this Bing1 Tang2 Hu2 Lu2 along the way. I dare not try coz it looked very sweet..=S

After Dan Shui, we went to Shilin night market in the evening. It was sooo crowed!! But nice shops..managed to buy a bag and a jacket there...after much bargain! Hahaha...

Saw this cute touch light along d way! =D Settled our dinner in a stall selling hot pots..

After dinner, it's time for Taipei's famous "ice kachang"-Chua4 Bin1!!! We ordered different flavours so that we can share....it's really...really..far more nicer than Spore's...

I have never knew tat ice can taste sooooooo nice!! Very fine ice....surlp!!
